Check box to stay logged in:

If you check the "stay logged in" checkbox, you won't have to sign in each time you come back when on this computer. Instead, you will be automatically logged in and taken directly to the schedule. The "stay logged in" feature lasts approximately thirty days (or until you either click the "Log Out" button or clear your browser's cookies).

Additionally, simply refreshing your window will log you in if you are timed out of the system after a period of inactivity. This means, for example, that you can go to the "Control Panel," walk away from your computer for a few hours, and simply click "refresh" when returning to begin working with the control panel again.

If you use a shared or public computer (such as in a computer lab or library), you should not check the "stay logged in" checkbox.

Announcements

December 15, 2011: THE WRITE PLACE IS CLOSED FOR WINTER BREAK UNTIL JANUARY 9 AT 9 am.

If you would like to choose your writing consultant according to her or his area of focus or expertise, click down arrow in the box next to "Limit to." Then click on the area that you would like to work on (Example: APA). Even though we try to maintain your choice, we may have to move your appointment to another consultant if there is a last minute scheduling difficulty.

The Write Place, supporting SCSU writers since 1968, offers free, one-on-one and small group tutoring to all members of the St. Cloud State University community. We work with writers from all levels of experience, ability, and expertise. Writers at any stage in the writing process work with trained writing consultants, who help them identify writing strengths and potential problems, teach students strategies for revision and editing, and provide information about writing conventions in the academy. Write Place consultants also assist students in developing and organizing their ideas, in clarifying their communications, and in adapting their texts for specific readers and purposes.
